Description
Offered by the USF College of Nursing, Nurse Leadership in Sustainability is a continuing education course designed to empower nurses, and future nurses, to lead sustainability efforts in their workplaces. Grounded in the shared values of nursing and sustainability—systems thinking, stewardship, and advocacy—this course blends leadership principles with real-world strategies to help nurses champion more resilient healthcare environments. By leveraging established nursing leadership frameworks, participants will gain the tools and confidence to drive impactful, lasting change through sustainable practice.

Modality:
This self-paced, online course includes a one-hour executive coaching session with a sustainability expert, providing personalized feedback and support. Using a guided toolkit, learners will complete a self-directed practicum applying the Sustainability Initiative Framework to a real or theoretical opportunity for sustainability improvement within their practice.

USF Health is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. A maximum of 12.00 contact hours may be earned by learners who successfully complete this nursing continuing professional development activity.
